Spain's export price inflation eased for the sixth month in a row in February, preliminary data from the statistical office INE showed Wednesday.
The export price index increased 2.8 percent annually in February, slightly slower than the 2.9 percent rise in January. In December, the rate of inflation was 3.5 percent.
Export prices of consumer goods advanced 2.6 percent annually in February. Export prices of durable consumer goods increased 1.1 percent annually in February, while that of non-durable consumer goods climbed 2.9 percent.
Month-on-month, export prices increased 0.5 percent in February, after gaining a percent in January.
Import price inflation also slowed in February, to 4.9 percent annually from 5.4 percent in January. Import price inflation declined for the fourth consecutive month in February. Month-on-month, import prices rose 0.3 percent in February, after rising 0.9 percent in January.
