The Australian dollar extended late Asian session's uptrend against its major counterparts in early European trading on Wednesday.
The aussie continued to stay above the 1.20 level against the euro for the second consecutive day, hitting a fresh record high of 1.1984.
The Australian dollar also advanced to a 5-day high of 1.0249 against the US dollar and a 12-day high of 1.0454 against its Canadian counterpart.
On the upside, the aussie may find target levels at 1.03 against the greenback and 1.0460 against the loonie.
The Australian currency that advanced to a 4-week high of 1.2867 against the NZ dollar is presently hovering around the resistance zone of 1.2855/60.
